pink pink pink...

elephants that is! I made this card based on this weeks sketch from The Pink Elephant (#29) ! Adorable sketch BTW! I also used some polka dots and circles and well...mainly dots...which I think ties me in to the challenge over at Pile it On! WOOHOO...my first ever double dip challenge! Check em out...they are way too much fun!Supplies: Paper: Basic Grey - Ambrosia; Stamps: CTMH - Butterfly wings; Ink: CTMH - Black, Distress Ink - Dried Marigold, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade; Dew Drop - The Robin's Nest - Island Blossom; Stickles: Distress - Spiced Marmalade, Stickles - Orange Peel; Ribbon - unknown

you make my heart sing!

This LO based on Simply Scrapping sketch #61 (by Judy Law) for one of the Double the Fun challenges. This sketch was so much fun to play with...and honestly...this was one of FUNNEST LOs I've made in awhile...I had to stop myself from adding any more to the page...I just really played around with the paper and loved loved loved it all! All embellishments minus the brads and the mushrooms by the "w" in wild are from the sassafrass paper itself. The mushroom bundle I just mentioned is done with stamps. I stamped A LOT with this one and I am really pleased with how it came out. Enjoy!
Supplies: Paper: Sassafrass - hog heaven paper pack (title also from pack), circle - unknown; Cardstock: SU, Bazzil; Stickles: Yellow, Pink, Lime Green, Xmas Red, Orange Peel, Black Diamond, Diamond; Brads - CTMH; Stamps: CTMH - Whooo Loves You, Stampabilities - Polka dot background, Studio 490 by Wendy Vecchi - Natures Art (screen background); Ink: CTMH - Citrus Leaf, Sorbet, Hollyhock, Sunflower, Black; Ribbon - unknown

glittery goodness...

...at least that's what I'm calling this card! I started out with an instruction sheet from Penny Black...but after reading all of two lines of it...I lost the sheet...so I just went with it and came up with my own version of it! This card has been glimmer misted to near death! Three different kinds of glimmer mist, three different stickles, two kinds of shimmery paper...throw in some heat embossing...i may only be missing the kitchen sink here! I picked up the wreath stamp at my LSS- The Stamping Place and Scrapbook Station. Anytime I go in there I walk away with something I can't wait to play with!

Supplies: Cardstock: DCWV, Bazzil Bling, Georgia Pacific; Stamps: Penny Black - adornment, CTMH - Festive Frills; Ink: CTMH - White Daisy; Glimmer Mist: Patina, Silver, Snow Angel; Stickles: Pink, Turquoise, Silver; Embossing Powder: Stamp-n-Stuff - White; Ribbon - unknown

...and you're sitting on top of the world!

I'm channeling my inner Beach Boy today! Well yesterday I was as 95% of this LO was completed last night. Had a great time last week spending a few days at the beach with my family. I got so many great pics of all the kids and my sisters...that instantly I was mentally creating page titles in my head. This page has had many titles, but I settled on catch a wave. The upper corner looks a little skewed, but that's because the top half was painted with a bit of whitewash...and try as I might...I couldn't get it to flatten out as it was drying...oh well...it's in an album now and laying nicely! This LO is based on Sketch 146 over at Pencil Lines. I seriously love their sketches...and what a talented DT they have over there! If you are at a loss...hit them up for inspiration!

Hmmmm...

this is a little odd for me...I don't normally as a rule create Sympathy cards unless a situation arrises that would require one...I just don't feel right necessarily having a stockpile of sympathy cards just hanging about...But I just so happened to have this beautiful Verve stamp set that is a Sympathy stamp set (Forever in our Hearts)...
The main purpose of this post is actually for this weeks Fresh Batch challenge over with Stamps and Smiles. Great sketch to play with...a little different for me...but then again so is the type of card! I'm wayyyyy outside of my box today!

TIme goes by so slowly...

NOT! This past week has flown by! Here are a few things I missed posting this past week that were challenges over at the Shoe! I feel awful that my time has been so drained and hard to lock into one thing lately...but there will be more announcements on this at the end of the month! But...here are my interpretations on some of the great projects that have been posted over at the Shoe!

Pink-licious...

and I may have over done it! I heart pink...all shades...but after my foray into many layers and colors of pink this weekend...this card may just be it in the pink department! LOL! Another selection from the Lemonade line by Basic Grey...I honestly can't get enough of this paper! BUT...I may need to start playing with the slightly less PINK papers that come in this line...or it just may be a Pepto overload! I made this one using yet another fab sketch by Judy Law over at Simply Scrapping...gotta say...that lady can really whip out the sketches! and they are so much fun to play with too! Here goes:

Supplies: Paper - Basic Grey: Lemonade; Cardstock: SU and Bazzil; Stamps - Verve: Sweet on You; Ribbon - BasicBasic; Bling - icons; Chipboard - Basic Grey: Lemonade; Ink: CTMH - Vineyard Berry and Olive

It may be August...but I say JUNE

Bug that is...this line from BG is fabulous! I wasn't sure about it the first time I saw it online...but once I saw it in person...I was hooked! Fabulous colors, amazing patterns...lots of fun! BUT...it took me a little while to figure out how to use such busy patterns in a LO...I feel that some of the papers lend themselves much more to cards...but I really really wanted to do a LO! LOL! So I picked one of Judy's sketches over at Simply Scrapping and away I went...
Supplies: Basic Grey - June Bug Paper and Stickers; Cardstock - American Crafts, CTMH, Bazzil; Flowers - Prima; Bling - Darice; Stickles - Diamond; TItle - Thickers

Not quite June Bug...

but when life gives you pretty pinks and lime greens...use more lemonade! paper that is! I am really loving this line by Basic Grey...the colors are delicious! This card is for a blog that I haven't gotten to play on in WEEKS! The sketch I used is for The Fresh Batch weekly sketch challenge over at Stamps and Smiles!! The sentiment was too cute to pass up...and considering the paper is somewhat whimsical...I thought it fit just right!

Now I really am off to play with my June Bug paper!

makes me one gal that is desperate to get crafty! It's been nothing but work, work, work for the past few weeks! But today...I said NO...I will not go to work just because I think I should...it's my DAY OFF! I decided two full days with NO WORK TALK OR WORK THINK would get my poor little worn out brain recharged...so I hit the LSS today...and oh man...they had so many mojo inducing goodies! I started out by picking up a Flower Soft starter kit and made a card for this week's Card Challenge at Simply Scrapping!

Well...off to play with some DELICIOUS Lemonade paper by Basic Grey that I also picked up! HOpefully back later today! I'm on a brain-cation!
