Pure Inspiration!

but seriously! You know there are times you see a sketch, a challenge, a prompt, an idea and it just SPEAKS to you...well a week ago...Judy posted this amazing sketch and challenge over at Simply Scrapping...you had to use the sketch, at least 5 different papers, and a HOMEMADE flower...oh yeah...and you had to focus the LO on a person and list at least 5 things you like/love about them...Well...the first person I could think of is my dear hubby...sometimes I think he needs to be reminded how much I adore and love him...well, I basically told him I was going to do a LO based on him...he sort of saw the pic...not sure that he really noticed the pic...and I let him pick the papers...so he selected the black embossed piece and the red with white skulls...I had to add to it at that point to meet the 5 different requirement...and of course we had to have a homemade flower...so I went the lollipop flower route...i figured it might fit the "manly" theme a little better...and the funniest thing ever happened...I showed the LO to my DH when it was done...the first thing he said was "I really like the flower"...seriously...MEN..it's so funny! I never thought he would say that first off. Anyways...the pic is from his first Nascar Race...this past May (also our DDs first race) that he totally enjoyed...hence the fabulous most delicious smile...(#5 of the reasons I love him)...again...ANYWAYS...I love him so much and at least now one day when he knows he is in the doghouse...he will be able to look back and know that deep down I have a soft spot for him! LMAO!

Love the weekend!

I am really enjoying my weekend! DH and I have the same weekend off and are both home, not out of town...and our DD is visiting the grandparents! Woohoo date night tonight!!!
Last weekend I got to have a blast hanging out with my best girl, Tracey and we really enjoyed ourselves hanging out, relaxing and scrapping (of course!)! I got quite a bit done that weekend, but I can only share a little of it with you...for now...a few other things will not make their appearance here for a few weeks as they happened to fit some upcoming Shoe DT challenges! I am sharing two LOs with you today...the first was a "challenge" between me and Miss T...every once in a blue moon when our mojo is slacking...we will create a challenge for each other...this challenge was to use Pencil Lines Sketch #88 and the colors Blue and Gold...

Supplies: paper by K&Co, cardstock by Bazzil and American Crafts, Prima flowers, Stickles in Lime Green and Waterfall, Letters by Thickers, ribbon unknown, coin by Tim Holtz Idea-ology

WOW!

I can't believe it's been so long since I posted! It's been crazy in my neck of the woods...lots of time traveling...long hours at work...not much time to scrap! However...just this weekend I got the chance to really sit down and spend some good quality time scrapping it up! What was the greatest thing about it...NO KID...NO HUBBY...and my bestest gal pal was with me! I will have some goodies to show you from this weekend once I get a chance to take some good pics! Until then...here are some recent items that I created for the Shoe and for an online crop I participated in...sorry the "ingredients" aren't listed...it's been a few weeks since I made these things...so I could hazard a guess...and that would include a good portion of my craft supply stash!

More later! Just in case I don't have a chance to post again tonight...there is a new sketch challenge over at the Shoe tomorrow!
