12 Tags of Christmas...Part 6

ok...a few days behind...but still having a blast playing along with Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas!  This is my take on Tim's Day 6 tag...didn't have some of the embossing folders he had, so I used stamps, embossed the image, then stamped over it (the embossed portion will resist ink) and then used a cuttlebug folder in place of his sizzix texture fade.  Here is my version...created by me...inspired by Tim Holtz:

I am having wayyy too much fun!  One of the best parts about playing along with Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas is that it is forcing me to dig into my stash and actually use a lot of the products that I tend to horde!  I always worry that I'm going to "run out"... so now I'm trying to adopt the...well OH WELL!  (StampScrapArtTour drops into town in February...so maybe my stash won't be depleted too long!  LOL!).  Here is my take on Tim's Day 4 tag....created by me...inspired by Tim Holtz (gotta give credit where credit is due!!):

12 Tags of Christmas...Part 3

Ok...of the tags Tim Holtz has shared with us so far this year...the one he created for Day 3 may be my absolute favorite!  GORGEOUS!  So when it came time to make one for myself, I pretty much stuck to what he had...and this one i'll be keeping just for me!  heehee!

I found some fab ribbon trims at Hobby Lobby today...the piece I used on this tag had a little bit of tinsel already in the center portion, and the ribbon itself had some sparkle...so I just added some Peeled Paint distress ink to stain the ribbon just a bit!

12 Tags of Christmas...Part 2

I'm Baaaa-aack!  So soon?  Well...while I was working on Tag #1 there were quite a few "waiting periods" to let pieces and parts dry...so I started on Tag#2 while I was waiting.  Now...i'm going to be 100% honest here...not the biggest fan of this particular tag...and this was attempt #2!  For whatever reason...all the parts don't quite add up for me...but, you never know til you try right?  I didn't have the pine bough stamp that Tim used in his original...and my closest substitute didn't work out (that was attempt #1)...so...living in South Carolina...why not throw down something straight from the state?  The tree I used was part of a stamp that is actually the state flag, i just masked out the portions I didn't want.  Here is my version of Day 2...created by me, inspired by Tim Holtz:

Woohoo!  It's that time of year!  The time when the uber-fabulous Tim Holtz takes us through the 12 Tags of Christmas!  WOOOHOOOO!  So excited!  So much inspiration to be had!  Well...enough chatter...here is my version of Tag#1...created by me...inspired by Tim Holtz:

Didn't have the rickety house die cut of Tim's (and searched a couple of stores for it too!) but I did have the Seasonal Grungeboard...and there was this large piece that was originally a haunted house...but I cut it down to size and kind of aimed my tag at viewing a house in a distance...at least that's how I see it!  LOL!  Off to finish Tag#2!
