having so much fun this weekend...just playing around with stuff for the first time in a long while...not anything for any assignment...just for fun....ahhhh...
now this card started as me just playing around with some digi's that I bought from The Greeting Farm (LOVE THEM...just really started looking for digi's the other day...and WOW...LOVE LOVE LOVE TGF!)...and before too long...I was building a card and actually using one of the images! I have been practicing coloring hair and skin...and I definitely need to expand my collection of Copics for that purpose alone! Her hair is still a little "striped" but I'm loving it more than my first few attempts! I incorporated some challenges into the card...and well...I think it makes a great little cutesy Valentine!

So on occasion my dear friend Tracey and I will issue each other a challenge...sometimes the results are better than others...and i'm pretty happy with these results...we used a sketch from Pencil Lines (#55)...randomly selected two colors (blue and cream) and then Tracey selected buttons as the MUST use embellishment...put it all together and here it is!
Supplies: Paper - BoBunny; Snowflakes - Maya Road; Paint - Apple Barrel English lace; Bling - Prima; Title - Prima sugar alpha chipboard; Buttons - unknown

Long story short...my daughter got her words a little mixed up and thought that Trivial Pursuit was Trivial Sir-Poot...we all had a good laugh! Anywho this is for a Simply Scrapping sketch challenge that they were doing...the sketch was really cute...and I was trapped inside due to weather...so here goes:

woohoo Vintage!
Today's pics are pre-crash...thankfully I had uploaded some of my projects to flickr! This is for this weeks Fashionista Friday challenge (#20) over at the Shoe! The theme is VINTAGE! I love playing with the idea of vintage...how long before the 80's will be "vintage" I wonder! LOL! Anyways...had a lot of fun playing with this stuff...the flowers are grunge and inspired by Wendy Vecchi...she has a tutorial out there (unfortunately I lost my links in the crash) from around August of last year I think...so if you get the chance and are feeling inspired...check it out!
Supplies: Grungepaper; Studio 490 stamps - Rose Art and backgrounds from several other sets; Ink - Distress ink: brushed corduroy, peeled paint, walnut stain, antique linen, aged mahogany, spiced marmalade and faded jeans; Distress crackle paint in old paper; sentiment also from Studio 490 stamps; bling...no clue...had it in my stash; bird - clear accents from CTMH.

ok...so tore up a hard drive...and since it was my third PC with massive issues in 5-7 years...well we threw in the towel...i'm posting this from my new iMac...so far I'm liking it ALOT...but it's going to take some time to really get used to it! Not to mention all of my software that was Microsoft based...well...now i have to swap to Mac based...hopefully that won't be long...then I can get back to using my camera and getting actual pictures posted...
all in all...outside of the crash and burn of the previous computer...this week is pretty freaking awesome! see my previous post for additional details!

sad heart...
Well...some of you may know this already...but I have left the Simply Scrapping design team...and it kinda bites to have had to decide this...but my life is a little crazy right now...and committing myself to so many projects a month, outside of what i want to do for "fun" each month...just doesn't compute anymore. this isn't a bad thing...it's actually a good thing...i recently was promoted at work...and have so many projects going on at work...that i've been brining work home so much lately...that scrapping hasn't really been on my mind. HOWEVER...i've decided that i need to STOP bringing work home (as best as i can)...and on my weekends spend time scrapping for the enjoyment of it. I am still a part (and owner/founding member) of the SHOE...nothing can part me from that...so my work will still be "out there" just not quite as much as before! Looking forward to a scrappy type weekend...see ya soon!

Sunday morning Mojo!
So I was not sure what to do this morning...until I remembered I hadn't played on the Mojo Monday site in awhile...so off I went...I was really feeling the color teal today...so here is what came of it all:
I've been playing around with my photo's lately...trying to decide what and how is the best way for me to photo my projects...and of course playing around with PSE editor to try and expand my knowledge. So this particular photo was shot in full sunlight...and only edits were cropping the photo and adding the watermark. My cardstock doesn't appear quite as teal in the photo as it does in person.
Supplies: Cardstock - Bazzil, American Crafts, Georgia Pacific; Stamps - Verve, Bountiful Backgrounds and Just for You; Ink - Memento Black Tuxedo and CTMH Ocean; Flowers - Bazzil and Prima; Pin - Making Memories; Spellbinder Nestabilities; Gem and Ribbon - unknown
Challenges: MOJO119
