so came across a most fab find at the store today! they had the tim holtz alterations dies by sizzix! so i picked some up to bring home with me, and a sizzix bigkick too! i'm too nervous about messing with larger dies in my cuttlebug, so the bigkick was on sale so i went for it! let me tell you...these dies are FAB-U-LOUS! they cut through grungepaper and grungeboard like BUTTAH! (the bird and the hanger are the alterations dies).
I created this bit of "art" for the Gingersnap Creations challenge GC47. The challenge was to use the colors Ginger, Copper or Rust. I went with some lovely Rusty Hinge distress ink on the bird, and the background is painted with tarnished brass distress crackle paint then inked with walnut stain...it was the closest "metallic" i had!
Enjoy!
